One of the challenges of doing room shots at events has been to balance the brightness of the projection screens with the more subdued lighting of the room.
For a few years I’ve been toying with HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography to get better room shots, however the process is rather tedious – even though the results are spectacular.
So now I own a Canon 5D Mk III with HDR processing built in – and I’m impressed. Tried it out at the St George Foundation Ball at the Sydney Town Hall last Saturday – this is the result.
